Joe & Michelle | Northville Engagement Session
I met this couple at the fantastic wedding of Holly & Paul in August 2013. Fast forward to 2014 and I got a call saying they had gotten engaged and wanted to meet up. I've shared a couple of meals with them through our meetings and from the first meeting it seemed like we'd known each other for years. They are warm and friendly and so kind. But before I forget, their proposal story is the BEST I've heard in years and I'd love to share it. Joe crafted up a little proposal idea - which included some new friends. He went out and a bought a new fish and - get this, A Puppy. When Michelle got home he introduced her to the fish, "Michelle, I got you something - meet WILL our new fish!" Next he told her there was an even bigger surprise - and out waddled this brand new beautiful puppy named MARY. (seriously their puppy is the cutest!) Then Joe says (I'm paraphrasing):
"So we have WILL and YOU and MARY and ME.WILL YOU MARRY ME?"
It goes without saying that Michelle said YES!
We had such a fun time on their perfect Autumn day for an engagement session - walking around their hometown of Northville and also walking through Maybury State Park. How gorgeous!!! They were a tad nervous about being in front of the camera (trying to convince me that they were not photogenic, HA proved them wrong!). I reassured them, most sessions start out apprehensively but as predicted by the end they were having a great time and they Rocked it.
