A Socially Distanced Bar Mitzvah

I am really feeling for these young men and women that are having to roll with so many changes - and especially our dear thirteen year old clients that were preparing and planning for a huge moment in their life only to have it changed/canceled/rescheduled and looking very different that the huge celebration that they were hoping for!

But each and every single one has been upbeat and inspiring.

I wanted to share this beautiful one - with the whole family crowded around the family computer in the eat in kitchen for the services - and my favorite part - THE BARE FEET! Who would have dreamed of becoming Bar Mitzvah in bare feet!? What wild times we live in. I loved being able to capture the nuances of such a moment in the family’s history but also the world during Covid.
